Sophia Bush Midcentury Bungalow

Los Angeles — CA

The vision: a beautiful, streamlined space where people could gather to spend time together and celebrate. To that end, the kitchen was designed to be streamlined and practical, a neutral backdrop where Bush could spread out to cook. Arnold wanted to create a defined rectangular shape within the elevation of the roofline, so he designed a backdrop of built-in cabinetry to create a clean line against the pitched ceiling. He worked with local purveyor South Bay Kitchen Solutions to customize the Ikea cabinetry; the flat-panel fronts are from Semihandmade and painted in off-white Cherokee by Portola Paints & Glazes. And the refrigerator was given the same front treatment as the cabinetry to coordinate with the bank of storage. ”

I love my new kitchen! I walk in and can’t believe it looks as great as it does. It feels larger and the additional storage is fabulous.
